What this site keeps, and what it does not.

Who runs this

NYC Insider List is operated by Ryan Thomson. The site is nycinsiderlist.com. This site does not publish a street address or a phone number.

Account email

The session cookie is named nyc_session. It holds the email you used to start a trial or to come back with that email. There is no separate account system and no password.

Payments

Subscriptions are Stripe Checkout at $2.99 a month. The site stores the Stripe customer id and subscription id that Stripe sends back. Card numbers are not stored on this site.

Event listings

Event rows are public listings: title, date, venue, and a link when the source had one. They are not your private calendar.

Saves

Saved events and preferences are stored with the session email when a session exists. Logged out, they stay in localStorage on this device until a session exists.

Calendar

A paid subscription can add your Google account to the public NYC category calendars. That is a Google Calendar ACL grant. There is no personal ICS feed.

Selling data

We do not sell personal data. The site does not run an ad network or a data broker.
